The meeting was held at the Golden Corral with 23 members and no guests attending. President Phil Brooks stated the Christmas Party was a success with Dan Yuhas winning best overall hat, Dr. Paul Anthony winning most creative hat, Ron Wenger winning most Lion like hat, Mitch Murdock winning “needs the most help” hat, and Larry Werline & his wife winning best couples hat. Jerry Curry stated the Mary Bryant fundraiser at Boondocks last Friday night was a big hit. Tail Twister Dean Paisley fined Jerry Gardner & Steve Frankenstein. Lion Ed Cunningham has his new book out called “The Perfect Patsy.” Lion of the Day was Limey Nargelenas who introduced our speaker Rev. Julie Jones. Rev. Julie Jones is a chaplain at Memorial Medical Center. Julie spoke about what her job entails and the different programs they have in place. The 50/50 was won
again by Bill Maxey.

The meeting was held at the Golden Corral with 26 members and one guest. The guest was Noah Martin, son of Teresa Nargelenas Martin. Dale Diamond would like everyone to get him their calendar sales money as soon as possible. Please continue to sell them through the end of the year. Substitute Tail Twister Dale Diamond fined Dave Moreland (easy target), Phil Brooks, Chris Walcher and Ron Wenger. Our speaker for today was our very own Lion Limey Nargelenas. Limey spoke to us about medical marijuana and the ramifications that could result from this new law. Bob Maxey won the 50/50 drawing.

The meeting was held at the Golden Corral with 21 members and 4 guests attending. The guests were Jerry Curry’s children Anna, Tommy & Kathleen and Limey Nargelenas’s grandson Gavin Martin. Limey Nargelenas served as acting president and presided over the meeting. District Governor Steve Frankenstein informed the club that it has been approved to merge District 1L and 1E and the organizational aspects should being worked out by June 30, 2014. Dale Diamond reported that he has collected for 640 calendars and he has several more to be turned in at this time. Dale also reported that he is taking bowling reservations now for the Lions Bowling Bash held at Laketown Lanes on Friday January 24, 2014 at 6:30 P.M. Tail Twister Dean Paisley was generous the last meeting of the year and fined only Steve Frankenstein. We didn’t have a speaker today but the meeting was full of excitement. The 50/50 was won by Helen Helner.
