The meeting was held at the Golden Corral with 26 memberswith no guests in attendance. President Frankenstein welcomed back DaveMoreland who recently travelled to Australia and New Zealand. The club wouldlike to send its condolences to Ken Tupy on the recent passing of his father.It was noted that the Christmas Party was a smashing hit and everyone had agreat time. The hat decoration competition had Phil Brooks as Most Christmas,Theresa Anthony- Most Effort, Brian Hoffman –Most Precious, Jami Leslie – NeedsProfessional Help & Dale Diamond- Most Lion Like. It was noted that theLions/Red Cross Bowling Fundraiser was well attended and the winners were BevHall – 1st, Mark Rockwell- 2nd & Tommy Curry -3rd.The Tail Twister fined Steve Coyle in abstentia and almost everyone elsebecause he believes in Scrooge. TheLion of the Day was Steve Frankenstein who introduced our speaker TalonThornton. Talon spoke about the new exhibits the zoo has and about theChristmas theme with lights that he has on display. The 50/50 winner was PhilBrooks.

The meeting was held at the Golden Corral with 25 membersand 1 guest in attendance. The guest was Jeanette Stratton. President SteveFrankenstein welcomed back Rachel Schroeder. Ken Parker stated he is alreadysending out reminders to sponsors for the June 18, 2013 Lions golf outing. DaleDiamond has donated his Lions Hat – Most Lion Like winner at the ChristmasParty to the club. Lion of the Day was Steve Frankenstein and he introduced ourspeaker Kaleigh Friend. Kaleigh is the public relations manger of the CentralIllinois Food Bank. She spoke about the various aspects of what the CentralIllinois Food Bank does. This business is moving to the old Pepsi plant when itis finished being renovated for them. The Central Illinois Food Bank is one of8 in Illinois and serves 21 counties. This company serves agencies like foodpantries not individuals. The 50/50 was won Gale Day.
